Closing the Teach For America Blogging Gap
Jul 27 2012

I’m currently on a train traveling from DC to RVA but a week ago I was my last day of teaching with my kids. A week ago I was still Ms. Olivia, and a week ago I did not have Strep C.  Now institute is over, and I just regular Olivia, and I have amoxicillin 2x a day for 7 days.  Children literally make me sick. But I love them anyways.

I’ve been staring at the link for my blog in the bookmarks bar of my Google Chrome browser for the last week or so, trying to decide where this blog is going to go now that institute is over, and I have yet to be placed in a school. I know that I’m not going to stop writing, A. because my family would die if they didn’t know what I was doing in Chicago and B. because I really have enjoyed the immense feedback I get from the TeachForUs community on this blog, however, some of you could be nicer to each other.

(I just realized that nauseous feeling I’m getting is probably a result of typing and reading on the train and not the Strep, so I’m going to cease and decist for now)

Stay tuned, y’all.
